Ages 13 – 19

From Computer Science and Debate to Chemistry Lab and Chess, you’ll find a wide selection of classes for your older students. Classes meet once per week on Fridays. If you qualify for the drop-off program, you must work six or more volunteer hours per semester. We encourage parents to invest in the program to exhibit service to the community and to highlight the importance of education.

  • Debate Club

    8:30 am | $159

    Sharpen your critical thinking, boost your confidence, and learn the art of persuasion in Debate Club! This class teaches students how to research topics, craft strong arguments, and communicate their ideas clearly and respectfully. Through practice debates, group discussions, and fun activities, students will develop skills in public speaking, listening, teamwork, and quick thinking. Whether you’re new to debate or looking to improve your skills, this class offers a supportive space to express your voice and think on your feet. Get ready to argue your point, listen with respect, and become a confident communicator!

  • Spanish 1-2

    Ready to make Spanish come alive? This course is all about having fun while practicing conversational Spanish in an engaging and interactive way! This Spanish course is designed for beginners who are starting their journey in learning Spanish or for those who have begun their Spanish journey but wish to attain more practice and knowledge. The course will focus on Mexican Spanish dialect and culture. The course will build foundational skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, providing students with a well-rounded introduction to the language. Oral practice will be integrated throughout, allowing students to engage in real-world conversations and familiarize themselves with Mexican expressions and vocabulary.

    LEGO Engineering

    9:00 am | $199 | Two-Hour Class

    In this extended two-hour class, students will explore the fundamentals of building and mechanical design using LEGO bricks. Through both individual and group projects, they’ll dive into basic engineering concepts, architectural structure, and creative problem-solving. Students will complete two collaborative builds and several personal challenges that emphasize real-world applications of design and mechanics. This class encourages creativity while helping students understand the principles behind how things are built and how they work.

    Jump into an exciting chess journey where you will learn about perhaps the oldest board game in history that is still played today! Whether you're a curious beginner or an aspiring chess master in the making, our class welcomes players of all levels over the age of 11. Discover the magic of chess as you get guided through the fundamentals or have help elevating your game with advanced strategies.     Get ready to move, compete, and have fun! This high-energy PE class is all about staying active through fast-paced games, team challenges, and creative workouts.     Career Exploration

    10:00 am | $129

    This course helps students build the skills and confidence to navigate their future career paths. Through self-assessments, research, and hands-on activities, students will explore their strengths, interests, and values—and how these connect to real-world careers. Topics include career planning, job search strategies, resume writing, interview prep, and networking. Students will also practice with mock interviews and career assessments. The goal is to empower students to make informed choices and take a proactive, confident approach to their academic and professional futures.

    Join our Youth Bible Group for a transformative study of the books of Ephesians and Colossians. We'll start with Ephesians, focusing on the Armor of God and its practical application in our daily lives. Students will learn how to equip themselves with truth, righteousness, faith, and other spiritual tools to stand strong in their faith. Next, we'll delve into Colossians, examining the topic of spiritual warfare and discovering biblical strategies to overcome challenges and resist temptations.   • SAT Reading & Writing Mastery

    This weekly class sharpens students' abilities to confidently tackle the Reading and Writing sections of the Digital SAT. Each session focuses on interpreting complex passages, analyzing question types, and applying targeted strategies for grammar and comprehension. Students will engage in group discussions, practice annotating passages, and receive tailored feedback on their responses. In addition to completing practice tests outside of class, students will learn pacing techniques, explore ways to approach unfamiliar vocabulary in context, and refine their ability to identify and avoid test traps.

  • Musculoskeletal Anatomy: Exploring How We Move

    Explore the incredible design of the human body in this hands-on anatomy class focused on bones, muscles, and movement. Students will learn how the musculoskeletal system works together to support and power every motion. They'll get a closer look at structure and function through creative activities like sculpting anatomical models.   • SAT Math Strategies and Problem-Solving

Each week, students will practice test-taking techniques, review challenging question types, and learn how to use the on-screen calculator effectively. Class sessions will include collaborative problem-solving, step-by-step breakdowns of tricky concepts, and personalized feedback on individual areas for improvement. Beyond completing practice tests at home, students will refine their approach to pacing, accuracy, and avoiding common traps, ensuring they feel confident and prepared for the exam.

    Worship Band

    Join us in making our LTL Worship Band with students performing, singing, playing instruments, and praying. The band will practice each week at LTL and experience various worship opportunities, including a Christmas Special and the Spring Fine Arts Night. By joining our LTL Worship Band, you will foster your musical abilities and forge lasting friendships with like-minded individuals who share your passion for worship and creative expression. New this year - reserve two hours for the band on Fridays!

  • Bushcraft Wilderness Training

    Ready to really get off the grid? This class goes beyond survival—it's about learning to live in nature, not just escape it. Students will build long-term shelters, use tools like knives, saws, and axes, and craft gear to make extended outdoor stays more comfortable. It's hands-on, hard work, and seriously fun. Perfect for those who’ve taken survival skills before or want to take their outdoor know-how to the next level. Along the way, students will grow in confidence, creativity, and resilience—all while making lasting memories in the wild.

    Robotics Club

    2:30 pm | $199 | Two-Hour Class

    Today's world leverages robots in almost every aspect of our lives, from cars to coffee makers. Manufacturing and engineering firms increasingly use robots to design and produce nearly everything, filling roles once held by highly trained humans. While this allows for mass production, it also challenges young people to understand the technology behind robots. This course, designed for ages 13-19, provides foundational knowledge in robotics using the VEX IQ system. The material may vary in difficulty, but successful completion will give students a strong foundation in robotics. By the end, each student will be able to imagine, design, engineer, and build a robot to solve a problem in their household.

  • Homesteading

    2:30 pm | $199 | 2-Hour Class

    Ages 13+ (Adults too!)

    For the first time ever, we’re opening up an exciting hands-on class to both teens and their parents—learn side-by-side as students! Together, you’ll dive into traditional homesteading skills and create healthy, natural whole foods from scratch: think salad dressings, pickles, herbal teas, herbed butters, cheeses, and jams. You'll also explore natural living through fun, practical projects like dyeing fabric with plants, making candles, and crafting homemade beauty products. Join us for this unique, enriching experience—spots are limited!

  • Lights, Camera, Action

    2:30 pm | $219 | Two-Hour Class

    Step into the exciting world of storytelling—both in front of and behind the spotlight! This hands-on drama and media class offers students the chance to explore every part of bringing a story to life. From acting and directing to filming, editing, photography, and scriptwriting, you’ll learn the skills to create captivating performances and productions for stage and screen. “According to my eager expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.   • Campus Crew

    Various Times | $29

    Campus Crew gives kids constructive time between classes, during which they will assist with various jobs on campus. Once students have worked for two weeks, they will have earned a week in the canteen! All work time will be eligible for volunteer hours. Volunteer hours can be used for reporting to LTL’s Teen Volunteer Award Program, the Mayor’s Award, and as work for a non-profit (great for scholarship applications).

  • Private Tutoring

    Time Varies | $217

    We are thrilled to offer tutoring at almost any level, with slots available throughout the day. Sign up quickly, as this is a popular option on campus. Each time slot in registration is for a 30-minute session (you can sign up for two slots to have an hour-long session). Other tutoring subjects are available upon request and subject to availability. Tutoring requires parents to check in weekly to customize teaching time with the student effectively.

  • Private Music Lessons

    Time Varies | $249-309

    Receive private instruction at your level and needs. Private lessons allow your student to receive one-on-one instruction, which is vital to improving their skill level quickly. The teacher can closely observe hand positions, fingerings, specific patterns, and learning styles. The first lesson will assess what books are needed. Each lesson is 30 minutes long.
